Sun Damage and Sun Spots
Over exposure to the sun’s harmful ultra violiet (UV) rays causes premature aging of the skin. Repeated exposed to the suns rays cause a breakdown in the skins collagen and elastin as well as increasing the production of melanin – the skin’s natural pigment. This increased production of melanin can leave darker patches on the skin – known as sun spots.
